The Walking Dead Season 3 Comic-Con Trailer
Season 3 of The Walking Dead is looking to be good if this trailer is any indication. With some faithfulness to the comic, they find the prison, Michonne appears, and the Governor. The Governor is not looking quite as skeevy as in the comic but I guess we’ll have to see just how bad he is in action. And Merle is back and alive – this should be good.

Z.E.R.O. (Zombie Extermination, Research and Operations) Kit
Having trouble pulling together that zombie apocalypse survival kit you’ve been wanting? Got $23,999 burning a hole in your pocket? Well now you are in luck, the folks at OpticsPlanet have put together a kit for you. It is an impressive collection of weapons accessories (you need to supply your own firearm), knives, cases and backpacks, reloading and gunsmithing equipment, tools, protective gear, and laboratory equipment. I am not sure I am the candidate for the lab equipment but it is reassuring to know there will be some survivors out there trying to find a zombie plague vaccine.

Check out everything in the Z.E.R.O. (Zombie Extermination, Research and Operations) Kit. If it is not in your budget you might find a couple of cool items in the list that are, like these bite resistant armored gloves – Blackhawk S.O.L.A.G. HD w/Kevlar

Outbreak: Omega
The fifth annual Outbreak: Omega – some 1,400 Happy zombie enthusiasts (about 800 of them armed) showed up in Morristown, MN last week for Outbreak:Omega™ the original and largest 3-Gun Zombie Shoot in the world! They had had several shooting formats including a “Zombie Safari” where people could shoot zombie targets from a moving vehicle. How cool is that?

Maybe the best Zombie book ever…

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks is a must read for all zombie fans. The book chronicles survivor stories after a global zombie outbreak. The first person narrative experiences, from an assortment of characters around the world, draw you right in as if it were all real and not a work of fiction. It reads like a series of short stories so if you if you suffer from short attention span when it comes to reading, this is a book you will keep picking back up.
